Detailed knowledge of the design criteria and performance requirements of the different original manufactures is needed in order to manufacture rollers for all the crawler tractors in the market. After critical analysis, the best solution is  extended to our production lines.

Superior rail wear resistance, capacity to bear high radial loads, large bearing area for bushings, sizable oil capacity and a perfect seal are the essential features of these rollers.

Berco rollers are maintenance free, have a long life and operate perfectly under every working condition.

Roller Shells- Exclusive high hardenability boron steels and specially designed heat treatment of these components allow the inner surfaces (in contact with hubs and/or bushings) to be Rockwell C 40 and tread surfaces to be Rockwell C 56. This guarantees complete resistance to fatigue and shock stresses caused by the most severe applications and wear life extending well beyond their wear limits.

Collars - The collars, made of nodular cast iron, offer maximum strength and resistance to failure. Depending on design, these parts could feature induction hardened thrust surfaces for better axial load capacity.

Bushings - The bushings, of the bimetallic type, with their external steel shell, are resistant to deformations and keep their position perfectly. The thin inner brass stratum is an excellent antifriction.

Shafts - The alloy steel gives toughness to the drop forged shafts. Precise final machining, performed with sophisticated Flexible Manufacturing Systems (FMS), maintains a perfect fit on every roller. Induction hardened surfaces in contact with bushings ( Rockwell C 60 ), carefully machined, extend bushing life to a maximum.

Seal Groups - These components represent the key of success for such groups. Follow link for further information on Seal Groups
