 The recent and positive experience achived with the introduction on the market of the "heavy" hydraulic track press PT350 lead berco to realize, with the same innovative conceptions, a new model with smaller dimensions and medium high operative capacity.
This new press "PT250" allows the assembly and disassembly of chains for track vehicles, and even if is related to the previous PT200, that is going to replace, as far as operative data are concerned, it represents a complitely revised and updated project both in structure than in working and components. The widespread use of structural analysis using the finite element method has allowed to optimize the PT250 dimensions, with the criteria of minimizing the deformations under the heaviest load conditions.
Main characteristics of the press are as follows:
- The basement is made of an electrical
welded structure and has been fully tested with the use of computerized
techniques relative to deformations when performing heavy duty
operations.
- The control for the activation of the working
movements are of the electric manipulator type. Their size and location
have been studied carefully based on ergonomic evaluations in
order to minimize the movements for a normal operation.
- The two main cylinder for which an innovative
design as been implemented allow an important reduction of the
pressure (considering the same maximum available thrust); this means
higher operational safety and longer life.
- The control of the hydraulic pressure level is
easily made through a manually operated valve placed on the front side
of the machine together with the relevant control pressure gauge.
- The press is supplied, on request, with a
sliding door with wide LEXAN windows as protection equipment.
- A chain blocking device, pneumatically operated, (supplied as extra outfit), makes sure that the chain-section is kept in the proper position during the operation.
The toolong sets for the assembly and disassembly of track chains (movable rest inserts, plates and pins) remain the same as for the model PT200.
The PT250 has been designed fully comlying with the European safety standard - EC.
